Once qualified it’s possible to work in watersports in a wide variety of stunning locations around the world. Most positions are in the Med, but there are a growing number of centres around the Red Sea, Caribbean, United Arab Emirates and Indian Ocean. Equally, for those who prefer to be closer to home, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the UK.

Career opportunities include instructing to a senior level after a minimum two seasons’ experience, becoming a resort or watersports centre manager, teaching, or working on a superyacht (STCW or Crew Training would give access to these jobs on superyachts).

To help you secure employment, you will have access to our online job service throughout your time at UKSA and once you have graduated.

Further Training

Once you have completed the Watersports Instructor course, you may find that you would like to upgrade your qualifications and boost your confidence by honing your instructor skills. The next step might be to take our Watersports Instructor Development course.
