UKSA is a youth charity that uses the power of the sea to transform the lives of thousands of young people each year, funded in part by being the world’s largest provider of marine training, ranging from watersports instructor, through to training officers working on vessels up to 3,000 gross tonnes.

Watersports Instructors – we need you!

Are you an experienced dinghy, windsurf or kayak instructor and looking for a short-term contract?  To support our busiest season ever we are looking for extra staff throughout September and October to teach a variety watersports disciplines to our customers on RYA Adult & Youth short courses and Schools & Groups taster sessions.   To find out more, please contact [email protected]

Senior Yachting Instructors x 2 (permanent, full-time)

We have vacancies for two full-time permanent Senior Yachting Instructors to deliver inspiring, quality and compliant RYA and MCA training schemes at all levels – both afloat and ashore.  Successful candidates will be RYA Yachtmaster Instructors and hold a valid commercial endorsement, and have proven industry and teaching experience.  With excellent interpersonal skills post holders will performance mentor and coach instructors and students, showing a commitment to excellent customer experience whilst maintaining the safe and efficient management of fleet and facilities.  Further details are available to download below.  To apply, download and complete an application form (please note CVs will not be accepted).

Fleet Manager (permanent), 40 hours per week – over 5 days

To ensure our ongoing commitment to a high quality, safety complaint and modern fleet we are now recruiting for a Fleet Manager. The successful candidate will have a broad and competent knowledge of fleet management/planning and project /refit management experience. Management experience in a service-focused or customer-facing environment is essential and a strong knowledge of H&S relating to workshop and fleet environment is crucial.

Project Manager 

At UKSA we are in the early stages of planning significant premises alterations and refurbishments and also a modern new build to increase our accommodation capacity. The Capital Programme Project Manager will lead a range of interdependent projects from inception through to delivery, overseeing tender processes and managing design, legal requirements quality and cost specifications for existing buildings and facilities as well as new builds and premises. This position is available on a 2 yearFixed Term Contract. It is Full Time working 40 hours per week over MondayFriday.

Performance Manager (Maternity Cover), 40 hours per week – over 5 days

We are looking for a highly motivated person with strong leadership skills, who can drive individual and team performance, deliver process improvement, reporting procedures and change implementation within the business to help drive UKSA’s further success.

This position is available on a Fixed Term Contract covering Maternity Leave. It is Full Time working 40 hours per week over MondayFriday although some flexibility is needed from time to time to support business events or changing needs.
