UKSA’s online RYA accredited theory course can be completed in the comfort of your own home with unlimited support our dedicated team.

The Day Skipper Online Shorebased course covers the essential knowledge needed to navigate a yacht on simple passages and is designed to sit set you up perfectly for the RYA Day Skipper Practical.

The course includes nautical terminology, rope work, safety and emergency procedures, collision avoidance, compass, chart work, tides, meteorology, passage planning and pilotage.

The course will be run over 10 days (Monday – Friday) with 1/2 day sessions running from 0830 – 1300 via zoom with one of UKSA’s expert instructors.

Your all-inclusive pack including the Day Skipper theory course book and practice charts are sent to you once you are registered on the course.

** Reminder that the exam will not be classed as am invigilated exam as the exams are conducted online. Therefore if your end goal is to commercially endorse your RYA Day Skipper qualification you will need to sit and invigilated RYA Say Skipper Shorebased exam at a recognised RYA centre at a later date.
