UKSA’s Sea.Change Fund
The Sea.Change Fund has been launched to help ensure we can be there for the thousands of children and young people for whom outside and adventure learning can make an extraordinary difference.

About the fund
Even before the current Corona virus crisis gripped the world, UKSA believed all young people have a need; to be inspired, to have their horizons broadened or simply to have their barriers to opportunity removed.
With your help we can remove both financial and social barriers to enable a young person from any background to achieve the best version of themselves and gain life changing experiences, qualifications, and employment.
All our initiatives are designed to enhance confidence and life skills, and build aspirations, to help children and young people to realise their potential and successfully prepare for life’s transitions. Each year, we work with around 10,000 individuals from across the UK; around 80% of those are under the age of 25 and up to 37% receive funding support from our partners to enable them to participate in programmes with us.
This new Fund will support UKSA’s many activities and programmes, including our brand new initiative The Sea.Change Foundation which will be piloted in early 2021.
The Academy is an inspirational programme that will provide 14+ year olds the opportunity to visit UKSA for 5 days enabling them to experience a wide range of water-based yachting and watersports activities and exposure to the breath of careers opportunities available in the maritime sector.
