First-class residential visits

10 Intrepid sailors attend UKSA over the half-term holiday

Here at UKSA we have been providing on-the-water experiences to school parties and youth groups for over 30 years. We offer first-class residential visits with sole-occupancy dormitory accommodation on our waterfront campus; full board includes freshly-cooked, wholesome food prepared on site.

We provide all the kit required for group activities and run a fleet of minibusses for further exploration of our beautiful Island.

Salford Junior Sailing Club wanted a coastal sailing experience and chose UKSA

One of our recent groups was the Salford Junior Sailing Club from the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre in Manchester. Their stay coincided with the end of Cowes Week which was an exciting bonus as they got to see both the firework display and the Red Arrows. Their leaders particularly wanted a coastal sailing experience. “We achieved this plus much more,” said a spokesperson. “To us, the most important factor in choosing an outdoor education provider was the level of coaching that the group would receive. We also thought it was important that our stay was structured effectively.

The best part of our visit was J80 and CAT sailing

“The range of activities and the programme provided were very good, and the staff went above and beyond to keep us all happy. The staff were highly qualified and very experienced and we were impressed by so many things, particularly the location, equipment and pricing. The best part of our visit was J80 and CAT sailing, though we also enjoyed the evening activities and the waterside location,” said the spokesperson.

“We would certainly recommend UKSA to other schools and groups as it provides such an amazing space in which to learn.”
