UKSA Watersports Academy – Train to be a Watersport Instructor

About the UKSA Training Academy course

At UKSA we employ and train a large number of watersports instructors every year and subsequently offer many different opportunities to start a career within the watersports industry.

As a charity we are committed to widening access to maritime training, enhancing life skills and employment.  Aimed at young adults this course will enable students to walk straight into a job with UKSA, in Cowes on graduation as a fully qualified instructor!  At UKSA you will get to work with a huge variety of students from school & groups, children with additional needs, individuals that have never experienced watersports and those returning to progress their training.   It’s a great job and hugely rewarding!

Only 12 places are being offered to train to become a dinghy sailingstand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing instructor. You will also gain your 2* Kayaking and FSRT training alongside achieving your Powerboat Level 2 qualification over the 11 week course.

Guaranteed instructor training job upon completion

On successful completion of the scheme, you will be guaranteed employment for two seasons (April-September) at UKSA with a chance to extend this over the winter subject to UKSA bookings. This is a fantastic start to a career in the maritime industry and on completion you will then be all set to travel the world and work.  It can also open doors for you if you choose to upgrade your qualifications and move into the elite superyacht industry.

So whether you are changing career, or considering an alternative to university, UKSA is best placed to take you on a life changing journey into an exciting new career.
