About the UKSA Watersport Training Academy course:
At UKSA we employ and train a large number of watersports instructors every year and subsequently offer many different opportunities to start a career within the watersports industry.
The Watersorts Academy course is aimed at young adults (18-25) and offers students who complete the programme an opportunity of a role with UKSA, in Cowes on completion. Successful candidates will gain valuable work experience teaching students from a variety of school, groups, children with additional needs, individuals that have never experienced watersports and those returning to progress their training. It’s a great job and hugely rewarding!
Only 12 places are being offered to train to become a dinghy sailing, stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing instructor. You will also gain your paddlesport instructor and FSRT training over the 11-week course.
Work for UKSA
On completion of the scheme, successful graduates will be employment for two seasons (April-September) at UKSA with a chance to extend this over the winter subject to UKSA’s bookings. This is a fantastic start to a career in the maritime industry and on completion you will then be all set to travel the world and work. It can also open doors for you if you choose to upgrade your qualifications and move into the elite superyacht industry.
So whether you are changing career, or considering an alternative to university, UKSA is best placed to take you on a life-changing journey into an exciting new career.
