Watersports Instructor Training (4 Disciplines)
Most watersports courses offer two, maybe three, disciplines. Here at UKSA we offer four as standard. For maximum employability, our eleven-week course will see you qualify in teaching dinghy sailing, paddleboard, paddlesport and windsurfing – making you very desirable within the watersports industry. You will also gain your Powerboat Level 2 qualification.
RYA Coach Dan Hallam explains: “People with wider qualifications are more employable in the industry as they are more versatile. You will be employable to a wider variety of centres. Being able to teach different sports will allow for better coaching techniques as there transferable skills. We use different governing bodies’ schemes which means the WIT students learn a variety of coaching techniques. Being able to do a selection of water-based sports will help build confidence on-the-water. Being confident leads to a higher quality of instruction and clients will have a more enjoyable and educational experience.”
