Adventures to last a lifetime
Come to UKSA on the Isle of Wight for the very best school and youth groups trips. Our waterbased outdoor programmes and activities all have skills for life incorporated.
We specialise in sailing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, windsurfing and team building.
You can choose residential visits and enjoy all-inclusive packages with youth hostel style accommodation and full board, or non-residential days and enjoy a choice of the best activities UKSA has to offer.
Exceeding your trip expectations
As a youth charity we understand young people and we aim to exceed your and their expectations. We have funding opportunities and 30 years of experience in running educational school trips – welcoming thousands of young people each year. The majority of schools return time and time again (one school has been coming for 27 years)!
Excellent safety record
Our inspirational instructors are fully qualified and work on a ratio of 1:6 for on-the-water activities. We have an exemplary safety record and are accredited by Learning Outside the Classroom, Adventure Activities Licensing Authority, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. UKSA is proud to have HRH The Princess Royal as Patron.
Everything you need is on site, from the sole occupancy dormitory style accommodation to the dining room serving freshly cooked food. Among our facilities are an eco-friendly indoor heated swimming pool, a drying room for wet gear, and a dedicated children’s area.
Bespoke trips and activities
All trips are bespoke. If you want to explore the Isle of Wight further, we have a fleet of mini-buses. Students can reap the benefits of the Island’s rich history, geography, geology and archaeology with visits to attractions such as Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle or The Needles.
Students may also work towards RYA certification.
Skills for Life
Our water based outdoor programmes and activities all have skills for life incorporated throughout. These are designed to give young people the chance to call upon a variety of personal and team skills where students are encouraged to aspire and achieve. Our skills for life are promoted through six key categories: Communication, Decision making, Participation, Self-Belief, Determination and Resilience.
All activities have schools for life, residential trips have a skills for life report.
