Residential Trips for Schools and Youth Groups

More than a school trip

Our tailor made programmes are designed to build confidence and encourage teamwork using watersports and the great outdoors as a catalyst for positive outcomes. Visits can also be tailored to include RYA and BC qualifications.

We have been delivering successful programmes to schools and groups for over 35 years and our expert team can guide you through the whole process, from the initial enquiry to saying a fond farewell at the end of your trip.

About the programme

Dive into our multi-activity programmes

The benefits of participation in sailing and watersports are multiple and proven, helping to build confidence, teamwork and resilience.  At UKSA we are passionate about using outdoor learning as a catalyst for positive change.

Our water-based outdoor learning programmes give young people the chance to try various disciplines that call on a multitude of personal and inter-personal skills. Activities can include dinghy sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and raft building. Outdoor learning activities in the day are complemented by evening activities, such as indoor football, swimming, archery, crabbing and games in the park.

We are part of the Great British School Trip powered by Hyundai.

#SeaChangeStories

At least 10% of our students have special needs. Our autistic students became comfortable to be in wetsuits and in the cold water. Another student who was a selective mute became comfortable to speak his name to an instructor by the end of the week.
