Superyacht Interior Graduate
From uncertainty to leadership at sea
After finishing university, Molly was unsure what came next. Wanting time away from studying but uncertain about her future, she was introduced to UKSA through a recommendation of a family friend. During conversations with UKSA’s Welfare & Safeguarding Manager, yachting was suggested as a potential career path, an idea that would ultimately change her life.
With a strong hospitality background, Molly enrolled on UKSA’s Superyacht Interior Course to gain the skills and confidence needed to enter the industry. Alongside practical interior training, the course provided industry insight, Mental Health First Aid training, and ongoing support that helped prepare her for the realities of life onboard.
"My goals were to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed as a Stewardess on Superyachts and I definitely achieved this from the course at UKSA. I also gained a great deal of industry knowledge, as well as making friends whom I now see in ports and on boats all over the world."

After completing the course, Molly briefly worked within UKSA’s Welfare team before securing her first role as a 3rd Stewardess on a private 50m motor yacht. In just over a year, she progressed to 2nd Stewardess and later Relief Chief Stew, managing owner trips and overseeing the interior department during a shipyard period.
Following her Mental Health First Aid training at UKSA, Molly also introduced a Welfare and Wellbeing Officer role onboard, supporting fellow crew members alongside her operational responsibilities.

The opportunity to join the course was made possible through partial funding from the Milo Hanlon Fund, removing a major financial barrier at a critical moment.
