UKSA guests enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime Buckingham Palace Garden Party experience in recognition of their exceptional contribution
On the 12th May in that, in recognition of exceptional contribution to UKSA we travelled to London to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Excited was an understatement as we talked about what we were looking forward to and who from the Royal Family would be attending. We put on our finest dresses, shirts, shoes and fascinators and made our way to the palace, the excitement growing as we got nearer to the main gates.
Our phones were busy capturing our day and as we walked around the side of the palace to the gardens we fell silent, taking in our surroundings.
We waited patiently for the Royals to arrive and as the National Anthem rang out the King and Queen appeared from the Palace, we could not believe it, how lucky were we! After some time watching them meet and greet we headed for the tea, cakes and ice cream, it was all delicious.
We then had some time to explore the grounds and spend time just thinking about whose footsteps we were walking in and who had sat on the bench we found hidden away.
Our day then came to an end, what an amazing and once in a lifetime opportunity, memories made for life!
