Digital Sea Service

The idea for Digital Sea Service really took shape back when John Bisset and I were studying for our OOW Unlimited at Warsash. We saw some of our fellow students have to leave the course simply because they’d miscalculated their sea time. It was frustrating for them and a real eye-opener for us. We realized that scribbling down days on bits of paper just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

So we decided to create a digital solution that would make life easier for everyone. Digital Sea Service lets you log all your sea time accurately, share it easily with your crew, and it even fills in the testimonial forms for you. No more manual counting, no more worrying about losing track of your days.

UKSA played a huge part in my own journey. It’s where I started with my Yachtmaster training and returned to for officer modules over the years. That’s why it’s really meaningful to share this tool with the UKSA alumni community. And I want to give a special shout-out to Lauren for being instrumental in helping us spread the word to other UKSA graduates. It’s been a real team effort.

At the end of the day, we just wanted to take one bit of hassle out of the process so everyone can focus on their careers without tripping over paperwork. It’s been fantastic to see it grow, and even better to bring it back to the community that helped me get started.
