UKSA’s Bayleigh Faith Inspires Young People at Royal Navy IWD Celebration
On Thursday 5 March, I had the pleasure of attending the Royal Navy International Women’s Day event at HMS President in London, organised by the Royal Navy Youth Engagement Team.
The aim of the event was to bring together diverse young individuals from across Greater London and the South East, offering them an insight into life in the Armed Forces. Most importantly, it highlighted the Royal Navy’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, demonstrated through the personal experiences and stories shared by servicewomen. The event provided a platform for guest speakers to share their journeys, deliver inspiring and empowering talks, and encourage attendees to challenge perceived limitations and pursue their ambitions with confidence.
As part of the event, our former Further Education student, and now UKSA employee, Bayleigh Faith was invited to speak as a Young Person Keynote Speaker. This was an incredible opportunity for her to share her experiences and inspire the young people in the room.
I am immensely proud of Bayleigh. The way she stood up and spoke with such clarity, confidence, and passion in front of a large and diverse audience was truly inspiring. It was a privilege to witness, and a moment I will always remember.
