Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere

At UKSA your experience is important to us, that’s why we’ve made sure that all of our rooms are comfortable, safe and warm. We hold three-star ‘Visit Britain’ hostel status and as well as our students we also welcome visitors who want a base for exploring the island. It’s a campus environment here. So it’s one big family where everyone lives, eats and socialises together, sharing a common passion for the water.

Our on-site accommodation is particularly useful if you’re one of our yachting students; staying on-site during shore-based training gives you a break from living aboard. We’ve got dormitory accommodation to sleep 170 as well as single and twin rooms in our Lister House block. So there’s something to suit everyone.

Our accommodation blocks

Our Deck Officer students will stay in our premium accommodation in Lister House, where they are allocated a shared twin occupancy en-suite room as standard. These can be updated to single occupancy room for a supplement charge (availability is limited).

All of our Lister rooms include en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, Free WiFi and a study area.

Britannia, Endeavour & Invincible

Comfortable self-contained dormitory style accommodation blocks for adult students and provided on a sole occupancy basis for our schools and groups visitors, with separate leader rooms within each block.

Our Victory accommodation block contains shared bunk style rooms for either 2 or 4 occupants. Each room consists of an on-suite and is spacious.

Don’t just take our word for it

Crew Training Student – Lister Accommodation Block

“The room was lovely and clean as was the bathroom, the heating unit worked very well and the room was really comfortable. The room also had sockets that were conveniently located which allowed me to charge my laptop from my desk.”

Making UKSA fit for the next generation

Our goal is to have modern, flexible and accessible facilities and build a new 112 bed accommodation centre which will enable us to work with an additional 3,000 young people every year. We aim is to raise £3 million for the new accommodation centre by September 2021.

This new facility will not only improve the quality of our provision for young people but, over 10 years, it will enable us to deliver our education and watersports programmes to over 100,000 young people. We will also be able to help many more disadvantaged and disabled children as well as young people who would not otherwise have the financial means to afford to study for a career in the maritime industry.
