State of the art equipment

At UKSA you’ll find a comprehensive fleet of yachts, and a whole range of quality, top brand watersports equipment. So you’ll be able to learn and develop your skills on a variety of yachts and watersports equipment.

Yachting

At UKSA, we believe that true Yachtmaster-level competence comes from experience across a wide range of vessels. Skippers and crew in the maritime world will encounter a variety of yachts and systems, and our training reflects this.

Throughout your course, you’ll have the opportunity to sail a diverse charter fleet as well as UKSA’s own vessels, building the skills and confidence to transfer your skills onto any yacht you choose.

Our Current Sail Training Yachts:

  • One Farr 65ft yacht — a high-performance racing yacht designed to be safely sailed by an amateur crew.
  • Four Jeanneau 449 yachts — offering an excellent balance between performance and cruising comfort.
  • Three Colgate 26ft matched keelboats — perfect for beginners developing skills and confidence.
  • Three J80 keelboats — lively, exciting, and purpose-built for training and racing.

Dinghies and kayaks

Dinghies
Our large fleet of dinghies, caters to all abilities, from those suitable for beginners such as RS Quests and RS Visions to those for a more advanced dinghy sailor like RS500’s, RS Cat 16’s and Wayfarers (used for RYA double handed spinnaker courses).

Kayaks
With a selection of over 40 professional kayaks, there is a type for everyone. These include Pyranha river kayaks and Ocean Pro sit-on-tops, as well as open Canadian canoes that are ideal for touring.

Windsurfing & paddleboarding

Windsurf

Our windsurfing equipment covers all experience levels:

  • Starboard models ranging from the Rio, Kode to the Carve for the more intermediate windsurfer.
  • Taboo Bullet boards for advanced windsurfers.

These can all be used with a range of sails from our smaller 4m to the larger 7m from brands Tushingham a Gaastra.

We also have a range of RYA Fast Forward land-based simulators that help you learn basic skills before putting them into action on the water.

Stand Up Paddle Boards
Our large fleet of paddle boards from RED Paddle Co. and Vandals ensures everyone can get on the water with high-quality boards.

Power craft

RIBs
We currently have over 20 RIBs and small power vessels for a variety of different activities. These include 6 metre/75hp RIBs, smaller 3.5m boats, 18ft displacement launches and a 23ft semi-displacement.
