Schools and Groups Team

Meet our Schools and Groups team

UKSA’s personalised programmes are designed to build confidence and encourage teamwork using watersports and the great out doors. Our Schools and Groups team are here to answer any questions you may have about residential trips to UKSA.

Charlie Fairclough

Schools & Groups Manager

Having spent years working in watersports, Charlie knows all too well the positive impact that time on the sea can bring. Passionate about delivering the best experience for the schools and groups that attend UKSA, Charlie always goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is considered and everyone has the best time!

Both in the office and out, Charlie is a social butterfly and friendly face to everyone she meets.

“It’s so rewarding to look out of our office window and see the young people that we organised to attend UKSA having the best time, to see the smiles on their faces and hear their cheers and chants.”

Ellie Cotton

Schools & Groups Administrator

Organised and resourceful are two words everyone at UKSA would use to describe Ellie, always on hand with answers to any questions that you may have about residential trips to our site. You can rest easy knowing that she is on top of the processes in place to make sure that a stay at UKSA runs smoothly.

Whilst spreadsheets and forms might put other people to sleep, Ellie not only thrives but knows how to make admin fun with a great sense of humour and can-do-attitude.

“My favourite thing about my job is hearing the feedback from teachers at the end of their time with us at UKSA,  particularly when they share stories about children who were perhaps nervous about staying away from home or being on the water and seeing how they have grown in confidence since their time here.”

#SeaChangeStories

I continue to be inspired by our students, some of whom have come from challenging backgrounds, and we have seen them turn their lives around and leave UKSA with new work and life skills that will set them up for a long-term career in the maritime industry.

It is a good reminder for us all that with the right encouragement and training, anyone can begin a new chapter and look ahead to a rewarding, long-term career.
