Harry Tudor

Harry began his career here at UKSA on our Watersports Instructor Training Course. After an exciting two years out in the industry he has recently returned to further his training.

Prior to starting UKSA’s Watersports Instructor Training Course in 2021, Harry had just completed his A-Level exams and was looking for an alternative to university.

“I have great memories of my time on the course, some of the best are spending time on the water and socialising with my course mates.”

Following his training Harry secured a job as an Instructor with Neilson Holidays. After just two seasons with Neilson Harry progressed to become a Senior Watersports Instructor within the company, teaching windsurfing in Greek resorts such as Prasonisi and Vasiliki.

“The best thing about being an instructor is the ease of being able to go out windsurfing and sailing whenever you want, this also gives you the opportunity to progress your skills further. You’re working with like-minded people in great places.”

Having loved his time as an Instructor, Harry has decided to use his skills and knowledge to progress his career further. Harry is currently back at UKSA on our Superyacht Deckhand Training Course, working towards finding a role on a Superyacht. This will give Harry the opportunity to travel and work across new parts of the world while branching out onto a new career path.

“UKSA is a great alternative to university. The skills you learn as an instructor, and the people skills you gain from meeting and teaching all sort of guests from different backgrounds are invaluable. It really builds your confidence as a person and sets you up well for any career afterwards.”

Harry’s experience will be extremely valuable in his search for his first role as a Deckhand this season, we look forward to seeing where this new venture will take him.
