About the course
Starting with a basic introduction to civil and criminal law, negligence and duty of care, the structure of the UK Maritime Framework introduces maritime legislation, information and accident investigation, including onboard record keeping and requirements. Other areas covered include an introduction to international law, safety management, certification, documentation, safety requirements and seaworthiness.
At the end of the module, you’ll take a 2.5 hour examination with a required pass mark of 60%.

This all-inclusive Business and Law (Master Yachts) course is available on a residential and non-residential basis. The cost of the residential course covers all food and accommodation during your learning, while the non-residential course includes lunch.
