MCA Deck Officer training is the springboard to an exciting new career away from the normal office based nine-to-five routine. They are responsible for passage planning, safe navigation of the vessel, cargo loading, ship stability, communications and maintaining watches on the bridge at sea. With no shortage of exciting opportunities, MCA Deck Officers who graduate will be provided with a wealth of opportunities that long-term can be continued at sea or ashore. MCA Deck Officer certificates are the highest qualifications in the yachting industry and we’re proud to be one of the top providers of MCA Training in the world.
We know it can be hard to commit to dates until the very last minute, so we aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate our MCA students. With several intakes per year on all of our MCA courses, students can either choose individual modules at a time that suits them, or the whole course in one go.
We also understand the nature of the industry, so are happy to talk through the options and work out what would suit you best.
As a PYA regional office, UKSA has the ability and authority to certify all of your existing qualifications. Whilst on-site our MCA Training Manager will help you prepare all your necessary documents prior to them being sent to the PYA to verify your sea time.
