Financial support for young people living on the Isle of Wight aspiring to Further Education or gaining vocational skills for the marine industry.
About the fund
Members of the Royal Yacht Squadron (RYS), Cowes, Isle of Wight created an independent registered charity to coincide with their bicentenary celebrations and are contributing generously to the capital fund that has an initial target of £2 million.
The RYS Foundation Bursary’s mission is to promote opportunities in the marine industry for young people living on the Isle of Wight.
Who can apply?
You must be aged between 15 and 29, an Isle of Wight resident and with a desire to pursue a career in the maritime industry. If you require further training and need financial help or support to achieve this, you may be eligible for the RYS Foundation Bursary.
The Foundation works closely with the marine industry, schools, colleges and other local organisations to proactively identify potential beneficiaries.
