Royal Parks Half Marathon for #TeamUKSA

Published 10/10/2023

An incredible group of runners took on the picturesque half marathon, running through the Royal Parks of London this October. Fundraisers from across the UK united to join #TeamUKSA last Sunday to raise awareness and some much needed funds for UK Sailing Academy.

#TeamUKSA runners took in some of the capital’s world famous landmarks as they ran on closed roads through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens and then celebrated their success at an after party generously sponsored by The Edmiston Foundation and the Royal Thames Yacht Club. The half marathon raised the incredible amount of £14,690 for UKSA!

Ashleigh Gibbs, UKSA event coordinator said:

It was absolutely amazing to see so many smiling faces running and repping the UKSA running tops – we are so grateful for all of the hard work and training and effort that our runners put in leading up o the event. Thanks to amazing people like them we are able to continue to change the lives of young people through the power of the sea, giving them a chance to imagine a future that they never thought possible.
