Determined UKSA Fundraisers Go the Extra Mile Despite Great South Run Cancellation
Despite the cancellation of this year’s Great South Run, several dedicated UKSA fundraisers were not deterred and took on their own personal races to continue raising vital funds for our programmes.
Two amazing fundraisers Alexa & Harriet (pictured below) from Burgess Yachts took to the streets of London, running their own routes through the city to support UKSA’s mission.
Another local fundraising hero, Blake Rayner (pictured above), completed his own race on the Isle of Wight, demonstrating incredible commitment and spirit.
Elisha Hooper Head of fundraising said: “We are immensely grateful for their determination and generosity. The funds they’ve raised will have a significant impact, helping us to continue delivering our development programmes, which provide life-changing opportunities for young people. For those fundraisers who have chosen to roll their places over to next year, we can’t wait to cheer you on at the 2025 Great South Run! Your ongoing support means the world to us”.
A special shout-out goes to our incredible sponsors, PC Consultants and Hovertravel, for standing by us through the uncertainty of this year’s event. Your unwavering support and commitment into 2025 ensure that we can keep inspiring and empowering young people through our programmes.
Thank you to everyone involved for your passion and perseverance—you are truly making a difference!
