Our response
At UKSA we are passionate about the sea; it sits at the heart of everything we do. We have substantially reduced single-use plastics and are proud to have put the following in place:
- Separate food waste, recycling and land fill
- Compostable sandwich containers, wraps, cutlery
- All students and staff use a re-usable mug and water bottle
- Recycle crisp packets through Terracycle
- Do not use single use condiments, sauces, glasses or cups
- Paper straws and stirrers in the bar
- Environmentally friendly boat cleaning products
- Waterless urinals
- PV Panels on swimming pool roof
