Every child matters

We realise that there are schools who book residential trips to UKSA who have no choice but to leave some children behind in the classroom because their parents are unable to afford the cost of the trip. No child should miss out on life changing experiences due to their financial situation. UKSA’s Leave No Child Behind fund enables children to access the same opportunities as their peers.

Leave no child behind

Through our Leave No Child Behind fund, UKSA give thousands of children each year the chance to visit our unique waterfront campus in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight for a residential stay where they can participate in sailing and watersports, many for the first time.

We assess these financial needs on a case by case basis. if you have children that might benefit from our financial support, please contact our Schools & Groups team.

Delivering positive outcomes

Through our schools and groups programmes, children get the chance to participate in sailing and watersports, many for the first time. Personal development, improved self-esteem, growing confidence, determination, teamwork and broadened horizons are just some of the positive outcomes achieved.

However, we know in this age of austerity, some parents or guardians do not have the financial support to ensure their young people benefit from a trip to UKSA. We work with donors to create funds that can be accessed to ensure that financial background is never a barrier to life-enhancing experience at UKSA.
