When a programme ends, the journey doesn’t stop there. We aim to support young people to further pathways into education and employment. During their time with us, we include sessions on careers and industry guidance and looking into the further opportunities available here at UKSA, including our further education and careers courses.
We work with several partners to be able to deliver high-quality programmes that are suited to everyone. Working with a range of like-minded organisations allows us to support a wide range of young people.
Short Breaks is a scheme set up by the Isle of Wight Council and aims to increase the activities available to children and young people with disabilities and/or additional needs. Short Breaks is open to those who have a Gateway card and aged between 6-19 years old. At UKSA we offer half-day fun sessions. The children take part in a variety of water-based activities, such as Water Confidence, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Paddle sports and Sailing.
Keep an eye out for new dates soon!
UKSA is proud to be working closely with the Isle of Wight Youth Offending Team (YOT) to deliver the Sail Through Programme.
