About the Prince’s Trust

Programmes support 11-30 year olds who are unemployed or students who are struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. These free programmes give young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise their lives. Developing key skills while boosting their confidence and motivation so they can continue to dream big.

Prince’s Trust Get Started in Boat Maintenance course

This 5 day course introduces students to boat maintenance.

Scheme of work

• RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance with certification included
• Rope work
• Splicing including wire
• Sanding and varnish work
• Superyacht polishing work
• Lifting and moving on a yacht

Prince’s Trust Get Started in Watersports course

Get started with watersports with this a 5-day residential course

Scheme of work
  • Powerboat level 1
  • Introduction to sea survival
  • Taster sessions in 4 disciplines (paddle sports, stand up paddleboarding, keelboating and windsurfing)

All courses are free subject to successful selection with the Prince’s Trust.
