Jack Parr - Watersports Instructor Training for Neilson
Jack shares his story on completing his Watersports Instructor Training for Neilson
As the activity holiday industry expands year by year, so does the demand for high-calibre qualified watersports instructors. UKSA has been working alongside Neilson Active Holidays for the past five years to deliver a bespoke, part-funded Watersports Instructor Training course, which lasts for ten weeks and guarantees employment for two seasons at a Neilson resort in Greece, Sardinia or Croatia.
One of our graduates, Jack Parr, had travelled around Europe and started to work in the construction industry before coming to us. He got in touch with us after finding out about the Neilson Academy on the UKSA website, and now he’s graduated he’s looking forward to working his two seasons at a Neilson Resort. Jack shares his story:
What were your highlights from the course?
“It was important to me to have guaranteed employment at the end of my training because it means I will be able to progress in my career. I’ve learnt loads on the course including RYA Powerboat Level 2, RYA Start Windsurfing, Short Range Radio, and Safe & Fun. What I’ve most enjoyed about the course is everything I’ve learnt – I’ve also made some really good friends.”
What would you like the future to bring?
“I’m not sure which resort I’m going to or whether anyone on my course will be there but I’m excited nonetheless. What I intend to do is progress with my qualifications with Neilson and take things as they come. If I was to give anyone advice about taking the Watersports Instructor Training course, I’d say go for it with your mind open.”
