Watersports Instructor Training Level 2 Diploma

NEW to UKSA is the provision of a Level 2 Diploma in Watersports Instructor Training. Unemployed young people can now apply to train to become a watersports instructor, for free!

We have worked with the national awarding body Active IQ to bring you a Level 2 Diploma in watersports instructor training, with funding secured through the Isle of Wight College.

You will train in four disciplines: dinghy sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing. The course consists of two weeks’ work experience at UKSA in Cowes, and participants will also be given guaranteed interviews by other leading watersports industry employers Neilson, Mark Warner, Sunsail and Ocean Elements.

Who is the course for?

Learners must be aged 19-24 when they start the course. It is suitable for absolute beginners, although an interest in a career in watersports is necessary.

As a funded course, there will be a selection process. Please ask one of our course advisors for more information about this.
